From product to structured record
Start with product identity, manufacturer details, and the information you intend to share. Keep supporting evidence in the workspace and mark only intended information as public.
There is no universal template that makes every field legally required. Product group, role, market, and applicable product-specific acts determine obligations.
Versions and archiving
Published versions are immutable and keep their own public identifier. Archiving frees active capacity. Published versions remain accessible with an archive notice at their original URLs and QR codes.
Product groups: check scope
This overview comes from the current product-group matrix. A work plan or category alone does not establish a specific DPP duty.
Textiles and apparel
The platform does not currently claim textile sustainability fields as legally mandatory. Fibre-composition obligations depend on product scope and labelling context.
Scope: Covered textile products: fibre names and fibre-composition labelling/marking.
DPP status: Fibre composition information is required in scope; this Regulation does not itself require a DPP.
Timing: 2012-05-08
Scope: Physical goods in scope, subject to Article 1 exclusions and product-specific delegated acts.
DPP status: Framework only. A product-group DPP is required when the applicable delegated act under Article 4 says so; no universal current DPP field set.
Timing: Framework in force 2024-07-18; product requirements apply only from the relevant delegated act date.
Scope: Sets Commission priorities and indicative work for product groups.
DPP status: A priority or planned act is not a currently applicable product-level DPP obligation.
Timing: Adopted 2025-04-16; planning instrument, not itself a product DPP obligation.
Footwear
Footwear may also be affected by future product-specific ecodesign measures; a work plan does not itself make DPP fields mandatory.

Batteries
Battery subtype, capacity and intended use determine whether Article 77 applies. Do not publish a generic product record as a compliant battery passport.
Scope: Each LMT battery, each industrial battery with capacity greater than 2 kWh, and each EV battery placed on the market or put into service.
DPP status: A battery passport is required from 2027-02-18 for the categories in Article 77(1); data and access rights follow Article 77 and Annex XIII.
